Moreover, with the computer, one can not only type words, but at the same time, checking spelling, grammar, synonyms, antonyms and so on. It is like your own teacher that works with you.
Not only that, we the sites such as Wikipedia, Google, Bing, Ask. Com, Encarta and so on, the answer to a science question is a click away. So students do not have to come to class with no answers to a quiz question because they had no proper encyclopedia at home.
The blessing of technology is in other spheres of education as well. Students can take part in interactive websites and programs, learning a new language, learn mathematics, statistics, etc. Simulations programs also allow learning of architectural designing, graphical design and so on.
What is amazing is that technology is not limited to enhancing education at higher levels, but starting from the very primary level till your Ph. D, technology can make learning so much more inspiring, interactive and effective.
Today, teachers use videos and slide presentations to teach children about astronauts and the universe. The children go back home, Google up the inventions of Newton and Einstein. There are songs on You tube to assist in remembering how to use Excel or Microsoft Access.
Students can read books online if they are not able to purchase the hard copies. A teacher from the US can give his lecture at his university and students in several countries can benefit from it at the same time, thanks to Skype.
Architecture students do not have to spend hours making a realistic model. They can simply use graphic designing tools to produce a 3D image of their project.
